2018 Winter Classic Recap & Photo Gallery
This year’s 3rd annual Clair Hills Winter Classic was a huge success thanks to the hard work of our volunteers and participation from our neighbours and local supporters! The Winter Classic was held on February 10, 2018. The winter weather cooperated with us this year, which allowed for a solid ice surface on the rink and we had a great turnout.
The event included several winter activities, including public skating and a fun pick up hockey tournament. Luke Stuart coordinated the tournament and Peter Hughes officiated. Adam Shortt ran the popular Turkey Tosses for both adults and kids. Congratulations to the lucky winners!
In addition, the free event included horse drawn carriage rides from St. Jacob’s Horsedrawn Tours and pony rides with Conestoga River Horseback Adventures. The CHCA provided a free pizza party, and a special thank you to our local Panago Pizza (668 Erb St W) for their support in helping to provide the pizzas. Thank you to Starbucks (Erb/Ira Needles) for providing us with hot chocolate and coffee to keep us warm!
We also had fun with the CHCA button making activity, door prizes and marshmallow roasting by the fire.
Local dignitaries who attended the event included Mayor Dave Jaworsky and MP Bardish Chaggar. Thank you for coming out to support Clair Hills!

A big thank you to the entire Clair Hills community who donated a total of $40 and collected 146 lbs in food which amounts to 234 meals for The Food Bank of Waterloo Region!
